At this stupid stupid dance camp i had to go to for cheerleading, my coach told the choreographer to stretch us really hard so she did and now were all in pain because were not dancers and were not used to it. I'm not going today because I cant even walk and i feel completely nautious from the pain. It hurts insanely bad behind my knee on one leg and the front of my thigh on the other. Does that mean I pulled those muscles? I really am like close to tears right now from the pain. Everyone thinks I'm sore but I've had sore muscles before and it was NOTHING like this.

this definitely sounds like your muscles were pushed beyond their limits. You've got to take a rest for at least three to five days.

Take a hot bath with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts. Soak for 30 minutes. The Epsom salts will help eliminate the lactic acid that forms on the muscles from over exertion.

Massage an analgesic cream into the sore muscles.

Dehydration can cause severe pain in the muscles. I recommend you drink purified water mixed with Mineral Water 50/50. This will replace the minerals that are exiting your body continuously. You must drink beyond your thirst to get the benefits of hydration and the real key is the Mineral Water.

I suggest that adults and children drink 40 ounces of water per 100 pounds of body weight every day. Realize that exercise, ambient temperature, and state of health affect the water needs of your body. One tip for athletes: it is healthier to drink a sports drink or water than fruit juice, soda, coffee, or milk during competition or active training periods.

500mg of calcium and magnesium, taken twice daily, can help with diminishing the pain.

Advil liqui capsules work very quickly on pain. Take them four times daily.

If you do not feel better after a few days see your medical doctor.

sounds like you've pulled a few muscles. these can take up to 2 weeks to heal fully.

the most important thing is rest, rest, rest for those muscles. no running, exercise,or cheer moves for a while.

use an heating pad/pack to help loosen the muscle tightness (avoid direct contact with skin to avoid burns and do not sleep with one). apply for 15-20 mins at a time.

you can also take ibuprofen to help with the pain and stiffness. take 200-400mg every 6 hours as needed but no more than 1200mg in 24 hours.

soak in a hot bath for a while-this will help alot too.

if this doesn't help and you are still unable to walk. have someone take you to the emergency room or nearest urgent care. you might need some stronger pain meds and muscle relaxers to help with the pain.

hope you feel better soon!!
