My period is always in the last week of a month. During last week, my dad usually travels on his business and many times he takes the family with him, because, it is an oppertunity for us to visit new places. My period is a real pain during such trips. Is there a way to shift the dates say during mid of the month every time?

I asked my mom, but she has no answers. I am 15 now.

Cool. I understand your point cats3inhouse. Same with my mom too. But I can not change my dad's routine. LOL. My mom is lucky and she gets her dates in first week of every month. LOL

You can change your periods with birth control pills. I put both my daughters on these pills when they were your age because they had horrible periods, just like I had when I was their age.

And in case your mom asks, it will not encourage you to be sexually active, neither of my daughters were while they were teens. It did really help with their studies and their lives in general as it eased up the symptoms of their periods.

a period comes after every 3 weeks in a "normal" cycle and you can obviously stop a period with the pill. Usually, the pill will come with either 3 weeks worth of pills and so you don't take anything for the last week or it comes with 1 week of sugar pills. This is supposed to give you a "period" like normal but you will not have ovulated (there's only blood, no egg) and the cycle resets. SO, if you want to change this cycle, keep taking the "real" pills after the 3 week cycle and you will not get your period at all until you stop taking those pills and so you change your cycle in the process. Hope this is understandable! Feel free to ask if unsure.

You should ask it in women health, I think there is a way to change your period date, but I am not sure.
But I think reduce your menstrual pain is better than change your period date. Swimming and some others exercise effectively reduce menstrual pain for me.
Extreme pain during period is a problem and you might need to meet doctor

I wouldn't really advise it - but you can delay your period and start a different cycle if you are on the pill - you just skip the sugar pills and start the next packet. I'd talk to your doctor about it, though.

NO!! your body functions like it suppose to. you can't MAKE your body change things. that is just ridiculous. get real. your mom should know that you change your body from what it normally does.
