Question

I would like to take this time to thank those who have supported me with their 'thumbs up', 'stars', Votes, emails, and comments on this board.

There is an active attempt by the believers to muzzle me, as I received 15 votes for an answer I posted to a question from a believer. They have accused me of manipulating this vote.

I give you my word that I did not do anything to throw off the vote or affect the outcome in any way. My answer was chosen because of your support.

And I thank you for that.

eric c - Thank You! You're right. If I had 15 accounts, if I voted for myself 15 times, then I would be much higher in points than I am now.

I don't play for points, they don't do anything for me. I just like getting my answers out to the public.

Yes, I believe the global warming argument is an argument not on the strength of facts, but in the strength of the believers to silence opposing points of view. There is no other reason to threaten those that don't toe the line with losing their accreditations as suggested by Heidi Cullen, or calling others names like Bill Gray.

Science should be argued on objective facts verified by anyone.

I voted for you and gave my reasoning in the question asked by Jean.

Absolutely, I agree that they try to muzzle you. Look at 16 thumbs down to your answer.

In a microcosm, this represents the global warming "debate". There is to be no debate. There is to be no questioning of "the consensus". Any thought outside of "the consensus" is void of reason or intelligence.

Call it subversion, if you will, but I applaud any efforts to stop the juggernaut of any "science" that believes itself beyond reproach.

Mr. Jell-O, you have to realize that the GW zealots aren't the only people doing this. There are every bit as many skeptics who love nothing more than flinging thumbs down at any answers they don't agree with. While it's childish for people on either side to be doing this, it would be fallacious to think it was only happening to you.

I also doubt very much that you're being muzzled, based upon the fact that, well, you recieved best answer to the question under discussion here. Or at least, if you are being muzzled, someone's doing a bloody poor job of it. How exactly is a thumbs down supposed to muzzle you anyway?

How you got 15 votes is quite simple. Everybody else gave the same answer and they split the votes. And why would you vote for yourself 15 times?

But that is typical of left wing behaviour. They make accusations without proof. If I make the suggestion that sceptics are harassed I get a lot of thumbs down. But you are proof.

Choosing who to believe is all a matter of trust. I find it hard to trust people with such despicable bahaviour. Many people fall in the same boat. Sadly, these people do not even realize it.

Why would anyone want to manipualate a vote anyways, It was voted best answer becasue people felt it was the best. 10 points really is not worth voting for yourself 15 times.

those have been the comparable people who theory they could be advise to snizz..unluckily, you gotta be extra advantageous than that. I actual have a tremendously stable theory who it truly is. it is 2 ladies and that they run with one yet another. it is truly no longer that annoying to be sure! Unfortunately, the alarmists, or believers as you refer to them, are typically more committed. Those of us who are skeptics are usually busy doing other stuff but sometimes you just have to take some time and refute the nonsense. I can't say I voted for you because I never do (for or against), but I would congratulate you for having a skeptical scientific approach.
