We have to balance our activities with the proper amount of rest and sleep. Staying calm and avoiding stressful situations with no smoking & no alcoholism should be our part of life style. Proper diet with minimum fats to avoid weight gain, blood pressure be taken. Eating raw fruits and vegetables are the best to add in diet system. Frequent drinks of filtered water (which improves circulation) with fruit & vegetable juices are the best. Regular exercise with swimming, running and yoga are excellent to be added in life style.

Water soluble Calcium, Iron and vitamins, is a must.
Balance diet not to exceed calorie count per "Body mass Index Chart".
Rest, about 8 hours minimum (night time sleep preferred).
Light exercises, walk for 1/2 an hour. Six miles a day on pedometer will be batter, moving around an office/house combined millage doing light lifting and other chores.
Staying mentally and physically active is good alternative to routine exercises and walking.

Any exercise done reguarly will help you in older life, it helps fends of artheritus, heart problems, strokes, can lower blood pressure ect ect.
As for diet, just eat 5 portions of fruit and or veg (But veg is better) a day, and avoid too much junk, and you're on the way to a long and healthy life!

take more calcium enriched food to prevent bone loss. calcium medication when taken at a latter age is less effective. i am not aware of any exercise that will prevent bone loss. what i know is that when you get older, you need to be careful with your movement to prevent fracture.
