How do we know we're not disrespecting God when we dress to formally for church? Not being any dress codes for attending church. How do we know we're not being exactly the opposite that we intend to be, and we're being terribly disrespectful instead? God's ways are mysterious, and so must be His likes.
Can you be sure? How?

Oh please , like a God cares about clothes!!!!
That is just social and cultural conditioning, look at those people that live in the amazon forest or the Aborigines in Australia, they are not doing anything wrong are they? and they dress almost naked. They have not been conditioned by our society and ways of living.
What is acceptable for some people is not for others, GOD has nothing to do with clothes.
I wish people could just get out of ignorance.

I actually answered that question, and part of my answer is that there are some guidelines about dress in worship spelled out in the Bible. Most of them are directed specifically at women, but the concept behind them is just as applicable to men. The idea is not to focus on our outward appearance, but on God.

It has been observed that occupations with a more formal dress code inspire a higher degree of professionalism than those with loose or no dress code. The same could be said for church--that by dressing more respectably, I will in turn act more respectably toward God.

Search your heart. If you're concerned about others thinking you look great, you're doing it to gloify yourself.

On the other hand, I'm put off by people who show up, looking like they picked up the jeans and t-shirt they threw on the floor the night before.

Clean, presentable clothes that don't advertise your fabulous or not so fabulous body are suitable. Wear nothing that would distract another from worship.

it is your ethical sense, a outfitted-in sinnometer God gave everybody. everybody's sinnometer is tormented by way of the ecosystem and upbringing. Christians attempt to coach their sinnometer by way of analyzing the Bible and employing the concepts of their each and every day lives. Others, who overlook with regard to the proddings of their sinnometer by way of the years, make it numb and quickly what grow to be considered "undesirable" will become "ok" and according to hazard even "stable". And as you could probable tell by way of now, Vot has fallen in love with the term "sinnometer". :-)
