Tomato juice only covers the smell for so long you have to remove the oil in order to remove to smell, heres how it did it it works as soon as i was done, also store bought stuff only hides the smell for a while, your goal is to remove the oils
Fill your bath tub with a few inches of warm water.
Bring out toothpaste - yes toothpaste; but do not use the gel varieties. Place your pet in the tub and get the pet wet.
Apply the toothpaste to the palm of your hand and add some water, making it into a paste. White toothpaste makes the best paste to use.
Apply this paste on the chest, shoulders, and face area.
Keep the paste on the pet for a few minutes. Keep working the paste into the affected areas.
Rinse it off. Give your pet a nice, refreshing bath. Use a conditioner because the toothpaste strips the oil off and the conditioner replaces it.
Please do not get the toothpaste into the eyes of your pet. that will cause alot of discomfort
hope this helps, i have done this and it works

I am a vet tech...tomatoe juice wont work. Heres what you do. Take 1-2 quarts of hydrogen peroxinde, 1/4-1/2 cup baking soda, and 1-2 teaspoons of Dawn. Mix together, use as a shampoo, then repeat if needed.

1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2.
Use fresh (unopened) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Hydrogen peroxide eventually turns into water (H2O).
1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda
1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap
1 pair of plastic or latex gloves
