My knees feel really heavy meaning I absolutely cannot stand for long periods of time because it feels like the bones meeting at the knee are just pushing against each other making me fatigue really quickly. For example, waiting in line at Mcdonalds which to most people is a really short wait time, I start to feel the heaviness and the pressure. Thing is I have gone to a orthopedic doctor he took an xray and said there is nothing wrong, but I know my body and I know something is a little off here. Any ideas?

Go to another doctor. You know your body and not every doctor knows everything. How heavy are you? You can be starting to damage your knees but the damage isn't showing. If you are heavy, get out of McDs and lose some weight. I have the same problem and I have put on a lot of weight the last few years so I am not taking off the weight and slowly my knees are not bothering me as much.

You could have a meniscus problem - that is the cartilage between the knee bones that work like a cushion. http://www.arthroscopy.com/sp05005.htm

Don't take this wrong, but you might also need to lose weight. Our knees are the most poorly designed joint of our body and if you are over weight, the knees take all that extra load.

It is going to sound strange, but i would go to a chiropractor. Chiropractors know so much about the body that we and other doctors do not know. Things you would never even think they could help you with. I don't know if you have insurance, but if you do, going to the chiropractor just to see if there is anything they can do couldn't hurt.
