I think I am an above average looking guy...definately not Fabio, but not Erkle either. I try to take care of myself....
Anyways, this girl told me that she has a crush on me, but not because of how I look.
I really wanted to call bs on it, because as a guy, I know we put appearances in a high priority, it may not be the nicest thing, but it's the truth. So ladies...really do appeances matter? I thought it did.

Appearances matters a lot but along with that ur personality and ur confidence matters the most too . So a well balanced attitude and looks is the real key for any girl to get hooked up in case of love lol just in terms of a fling and no seriosu business then yes just looks coz wat is there to do with the brain when it's just a one night thingy. So in terms on love and long term basis I'd definately go for a confident personality with brains and average to good looks. moderate level is fine if the personality and confidence is too good. Ah main imp thing :) is how much humourous the guy really is and how much he can make me laugh sensibly lol not with just crappy nonsense and vulgarity but proper balance of all :)

Maybe this girl thinks ur cute and funny and also have some special qualities which shez in love with or it's just her as a individual. all have their opinions buddy.
Wat u like she mite not like and vice versa. Depends on her idea of wat her prince charmig is like. Maybe she thinks u a ideal match for her and maybe it's just much more physical temporary infatuation.

Seriously...personality and attitude rise above looks...I would prefer an average looking guy with a fab personaility compared to a very hot guy with an average or bad personaility. Of course looks are what attract u instantly, but its the inside which makes u stay and be interested to know the other person more.
I do think guys place a lot more emphasis on external beauty though and of course some girls too, however I think a great number of us girls are looking for an overall package not just a good looking exterior....

Sure looks are important, but I often find that an ordinary looking guy becomes a lot more attractive when I get to know them and find that they are attractive on the inside too. A healthy sense of self respect, and respect for those people around them, a great sense of humour and an open intelligent mind are really attractive to me, as is kindness and thoughfulness. Someone who is natural and can express themselves is really attractive too.

Appearances aren't that important.
If a guy is "hott" but an asshole, we won't generally be attracted for longer than a week.
But if he's "ugly" or "normal" or "cute", with a great personality... then we're really interested. If he's "hott" with a great personality, he's from the movies. hehe.
And girls like respect and love, so that may help =]

For a matured girl, what matters most is your personality rather than appearance. Nevertheless, appearance also plays a role in getting accepted. I am a guy.

They do to an extent. However, they do majorly with men bc men are more visual while women are more emotional. This is why she is not that concerned about your looks. She is more than likely being completely honest with you. It has been proven that men are more stimulated visually and is what they live by in many cases. Women are more about feelings, personality, and emotions. That is just the way it is.

Guys tend to be more visually stimulated. With women it could be looks, or it might be your sense or humor, your intelligence, your smile, etc... Looks are not always as important to girls. That is not to say that there aren't some superficial women around.

Well you're obviously older than me but i'd just say that i'm 14 and girls my age go for good looking guys but not if they're jerks. Good looking AND and good personality is what most of my age group goes for...not all though.

For me its how you take care of yourself..not about appearances...also its self confidence, intelligence, etc...
But as for appearances its not all that important to me, its what in the heart and soul (karma) that matters most.

for girls personalty is much more important than looks I mean if I saw an average looking guy with a great personalty I will be very attracted to him but if a great looking guy had a bad personalty I will see him as unattractive.
