Its not dangerous if done for a short period the longest you should do is 10 days. I done this for 1 week, you are hungry all the time and the toilet activities aren't desirable! But i did lose weight, i lost half a stone, i ate mainly apples, banana's, grapes and strawberry's. just do things to keep your mind off the hunger or take hoodia and you should be fine. Good luck!! xx

For two weeks probably not, I mix fruit lunches with a pescetarian diet - veggies, fruit, nuts, pulses and fish/seafood.
I don't get diarrhoea but I disagree with the general fruitarian advice about not drinking water - one should still drink water.
Pineapple and green apples - contrary to popular opinion - help to settle an upset stomach.
I think a change to a mixed diet with a very low fat content is a better bet - but I wish you all the best whatever you choose.
Remember to take wate, salt and sugar mixture available from your local pharmacist if you do suffer from diarrhoea.

Just fruit and water, has a lot of fiber in it....one side effect is VERY loose stool (aka diarrhea), a vegetarian diet is very healthy, but it has to be balanced, but if you are determined to do this drastic weight loss diet, be sure to drink Gatorade or similar sports drinks, because long term diarrhea can deplete potassium and other electrolytes, and please drink lots of water to prevent dehydration, so to answer the question, it could be very dangerous if you have an underlying medical problem....consult with a doctor first please!...filch

if you dont eat much fruit or drink much water normally, then not only is it not good for you, but its probably pointless.
if your body isnt used to absorbing at least some of the nutrients fruits offer and decent amounts of water, forcing your body to suddenly absorb nothing BUT those nutrients and large amounts of water cant be good for it.
and if you dont have the stuff normally and then you continue your normal diet after 2 weeks, youve gotten nowhere. it has the same effect as you (who, lets assume does not attend the gym) attending some gym for two weeks. if after youve attented the gym for two weeks you stop, then you accomplish nothing.
your body needs time to adapt.
(on that note- one thing to consider is that after two weeks of no meat, meat can make you sick. like someone who's been a vegetarian for a year, just not to the same degree)
now if youre just doin this for shits & giggles (thats why id do it and i totally considered it the second i saw this question), then i dont think it will be too harmful to your body. youll probably get very little protein, but as long as you eat a wide variety of fruits... you should be fine =D
for whatever reason ya do it... good luck!

Im not a dr. so I wouldnt like to comment on your question but if you are wanting to loose weight I changed to a fat free diet for health reasons (nothing too serious Im glad to say) just went over to wholemeal bread, omega 3 eggs and cheese, flora pro-active spread instead of butter, cut out crisps and cakes and such like, jacket potatoes with beans or cottage cheese and I lost 1/2 a stone in just under 2 weeks.I didnt feel hungry at all just filled up on fruit or salad. I hope this is of help to you.

Its not dangerous if you stick to in for a short term. If you are going to do it I would reccomend taking a multi vitamin as well. You will feel tired, headachey and cross for the first few days till your body gets used to it. But by the end your skin will be good and your stomach will have shrunk, so you will be wanting to eat less. You will be less bloated. Good luck wish I had the willpower to do it. You may add in a bowl of soup here and there if you get really hungry. Like lentil or tomato - this won't affect your diet but will fill you up and give you some energy.

Hell yeah, although fruit is good for you, the body needs other proteins that fruit cannot give you. Do some proper reserach before you go on these diest coz some of them are completely dangerous.
