I don't think it says anywhere in the Bible "you have the right to pick" your religion. However...God does give you the freedom to make your own decisions concerning what you place your faith in on this earth. But keep in mind that once your life has ended, there is no turning back; no second chance to make up for wrong decisions. Life can end at a moments notice and the real question is: Where is my soul going after I die?

Many "religions" claim to have the answer to life or the afterlife. But the truth is that all people have been born into sin since Adam and Eve sinned. The Bible states " the wages of sin is death" (not just death of the body but death in the spirit) it also says that sin can not enter the presence of God. With that being said, there would be no way to grace unless someone paid the price for that sin.

The sacrifice you speak of is already done. Jesus sacrificed himself for the sins of the world by dieing on the cross for the sinners of all people. The only thing that you would need to do is ask Jesus for forgiveness of that sin and he will do so.

Jesus said," I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

No other person can forgive sin... No one. "..the blood of Jesus Christ His (God's) Son cleanses us from all sin."
1 John 1:7

"These things I have written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God...That ye may Know ye have eternal life"
1 John 5:13

So you can choose to believe anything your heart desires. Hopefully you make the right choice.

This grew to become into completed in a sequence of Church Councils. this text is the comparable in the two the RC and Prot. Bible, and the previous testomony is extremely plenty the comparable in the two of those Bibles, different than that the order could be slightly distinctive. the only difference between the RC and Prot. Bibles is the presence of the Apocrypha -- quite a few books that have been unknown in Hebrew, yet have been included robotically in Greek language translations of the previous testomony that have been in well-known use around the time of the early Church. Deuteronomy 30:17-20
See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
God basically said, "you can love me and follow me, or not, choose wisely"

When Joshua was speaking to the people of Israel about who they would serve he said:

Joshua 24:15 "If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Make your choice but remember, there are eternal consequences for the choice you make.

I does not say that you do, but it does say we were given free will to do as we choose, but we must accept the consequences of those actions
