exactly two weeks ago, my left armpit felt sore and i felt a lump there 2 days later. i waited for a a week and went to see a doctor. at first she said it looked like a lymph node and after asking me questions and examing my breast and the lump, { she tried to move the surrounding skin over it} she said it was a sebaceous cysts because the lump moved with the skin. she says if it were to be a lymph node it would not have moved and would have stayed in place.

she says there is no lump in my breast. i have no other symptoms apart from slight headaches and an ache in my ear. its 2 weeks now and the lump is still there. i now feel some occasional pains especially when i raise up my hand or touch it.
i noticed a smaller lump in my other armpit some days ago three days after i shaved. could it have been a result of the shaving or what? its hard and very small.
i am scared. what can these be? how long will it take them to go and what are the differences between lymph nodes and cysts?

Make an appointment with aother doctor immediately. Get a second exam and opinion which should be accompanied by further tests like xrays and/or blood draw. It could be very simple, but you will never forgive yourself if the time you are wasting here on this posting board is time you really needed to stay ahead of something that could be seriously developing in your body.

Lumps are NOT the only way cancer shows up in a breast. I did not have a lump. My own doctor couldn't even feel a problem. The mammogram showed a problem right off.

And don't mess around with swollen or tender lymph nodes. (found in the armpits) Lymph nodes are the disease catchers, the filters of the body, which is why so much attention is paid to them. Something's wrong if you have a lump or lumps and you need to keep on going with your investigation. Go to a second Doctor for a second opinion and a proper exam, professional x-rays and possible blood draws accompanying. Then get a proper diagnosis and what the doctor intends to do about it!
"Oh it's just a lump, don't worry about it, just ain't hackin' it!

A sebaceous cyst is basically a nasty form of ingrown hair or pimple.

Sebaceous glands are the oil glands in our skin, when one gets blocked we get a blackhead or pimple.

If one gets REALY nasty, it forms a cyst.

As the other lump formed after shaving, it is likely to be an ingrown hair.

Lymph fluid is the clear stuff that fills the space between your skin and muscles, it is what "leaks" out of burst blisters etc.

Lymph nodes are situated all over our body and act as pumping stations to move this fluid and are also involved in fighting infections. Swollen lymph nodes usually occur when our body is fighting an infection, and less commonly as a symptom of lymphoma.

They are attached to underlying tissue, which is why they don't move with the skin.

Your cyct should have started clearing by now, and as it hasn't you should see your Dr again for further treatment, sometimes a hot compress will help relieve it, but it may require lancing by your Dr.

Cancer is a posibility, but not a likely one.

You need a second opinion immediately. I do not want to scare you unnecessarily, but regular doctors often misdiagnose cancer . . they just don't recognize it when they see it (because cancer in the young is rare). Since your situation has changed to include a second small lump than you warrant further clinical examination. Go to a doctor for your second opinion and be prepared to ask questions. Tell the doctor exactly what your fear is and have them explain the diagnosis until you understand. Be persistent, especially if you are uncomfortable.

There is no way that anyone here can tell you what this is . . you will need a physical examination by a qualified professional . . sometimes more than one! Go for a second opinion.
