I have recently heard that there is more than one John in the Bible. The same goes for James.

Apparatnly, James, the brother of Jesus, is also John's physical brother, but this is not John th Baptist. And the other James was a disciple of Christ.

Anyone care to share some insight on this matter?

You are right, there is James the brother Of Jesus, and James the disciple. and yes John the Baptist, and John the disciple of Jesus. the hard thing is during that time they did not have last names. They went by John the son of ..... Jesus was Jesus the son of Joseph.

According to my Strong's Concordance there are four John's in the Bible.

1. John the baptist
2. Son of Zebedee (and brother of James)
3. A relative of Annas the priest
4. John Mark

And there are three James'.

1. Son of Zebedee (and brother of John)
2. Son of Alphaeus
3. Brother of Jesus

And also I think of the meaning the carries by the name which is the reason why there lots james, john even peter or judas too...

None. John and James are English names, the bible was not written in English, nor is it about English speaking people.
