Go to the zoo. Head to her favorite park. Just spending time with Mommy while all her other friends are in school is going to be fun enough - don't worry about it.

Teach her how to play a new game. hopscotch, jacks, marbles, relay races, crochet, lawn darts, follow the leader, etc. All kids love to play and learn games from their parents.
Total quality time. Also teach her some nature facts about birds, trees, the clouds, flowers, etc. She'll remember these things more than the traditional eating and going to zoo or park mode.

Maybe you could ask her for suggestions with this - maybe she will remember the fun of thinking about what you two can do, and then look forward to it, and have a good day after the dentist. Good luck and hope you have a great time.

Pick her up some McDonald's and take her to the park and feed the ducks!! My mom always did that with me. Get her a milkshake!! Take like a half of thing of bread and sit at a picnic table and feed the ducks. Or perhaps the Zoo!!

Rent a paddle boat on a lake and bring easy to eat food, like jello, pudding and if she would like it, soft bread and some hummus. That would be fun and it would take her mind off pain.
also:
the park
A hiking trail
gardens
Japanese garden
aquarium
zoo
orchards
the beach
forest
fly kites
picnic
walk the dog
chalk on the sidewalk
etc...

Take her to the Park and/or Zoo. This will also reinforce that going to the dentist isn't so bad after all.
Good luck!

Did you say,"Sorry, I'm a dad"? Don't ever apologize, or feel regret for that. Being a dad is the best gift you can give a child.
(Unless you can be a mum.)

If she did not take out a tooth then go for breakfast at a restaurant.
If a tooth was involved then probably go home and stay indoor until she feels better.
