Definetley.My dad could really show these new kids the real deafiniton of kicking *** and taking names.And hes 50 something lol he's eligable to join 10 years of service and if waivered would make him 41.Just don't think he's up to it though....

The military doesn't have to follow the same laws enacted on private companies.
And they have raised the upper maximum to 42! (The Army at least)

More prone to disease, won't be able to continually hack the hard physical work of humping a ruck, brittle bones no good for paratroopers, the "I know it all sonny" that comes to all of us with old age!! :-)
Defective declining eyesight, slow reactions the list is endless . . . . .

I think the military could benefit from recruiting people with real world experience to bring new talents to the table.

They don't need to because everyone of you in there at present are going to be stop gaped until your at least 50. If you survive you will never collect day one of your retirement!

I did ten years USCG....
I am now 55.....
I don't think I could handle the military BS without opening my big mouth.
