The first thing to remember is that your boss is your boss whether he is good or bad.
This means do your best to get along with him.
Remember your boss is not your friend - you do not have to like each other, but mutual respect is essential.
When your boss wants something done his way, try to do it his way unless you can explain why your way is better for your company.
Try not to take what the boss says to you personally - try to see it as his problem and just do the best job that you can do.

We need more information to be able to give you more information. "Bad" is a relative term and means many different things, especially in the context you're using. Is he bad because he doesn't do any work? Or is he mean to his employees? Is he unethical?
In a general sense, you just have to be the best employee you can be, and do your best to ignore whatever your boss does that annoys you. If your company has a human resource department, or if your boss has a boss, you can file a written complaint with documented issues and the times they occurred. If he's really a 'bad' boss, others will probably also file complaints, and he may eventually get fired.
Best of luck!

They obviously can't cope so you have to let them deal. I try to pick up the slack when they drop the ball, like when a leader is missing I try to fill in. Sometimes we 'lead' and sometimes we follow. Life's a dance. I just hope you don't pick up any bad habits or words. Positive and non-judgmental words, (descriptive ones) enamor you with everyone and they change your life. Believe me. I haven't found a negative thought I couldn't put positively, but I'm looking. To stamp them out., that is.
