Did they work ok? I have dirty fair hair / very dark blonde hair. Can't afford to go to the hairdresser. Someone told me these are the best dyes to use. Any other ones that I've used have turned my hair a bit orange!

clairol products are quite good, one if yr hair is fine then take fine sections. Most ppl that arent hairdressers find it hard to discribe there hair colours,to me dark blonde could be anything,it would have to be seen to make a good judgement. My best advice to you would be to take a small cutting from the back of the head and try the colour, make sure u keep tabs on the length of time u leave it on.
that way you wont get a full head the wrong colour.
In a hair saloon we use different strength proxides to make bleach work, shop ones dont tend to be as strong,so you might find if yr hair is to dark it might not be lifting enough. The bleach can only be left on for a period of time before it stops working.Plus some saloons do model nights for colouring perhaps you could try that at least you know a trained person will be there.hope this has helped you a little.

Nice and Easy is really only meant to change your colour slightly or cover gray, so if you're trying to go light blonde that might not be your best choice.

Clairol Born Blonde would work better in your case, or try to find a Sally Beauty Supply store and buy professional products for use at home. Bleaching your hair out to a fairer tone first might work better, and remember, orange is just a step before yellow on the colour scale when bleaching... so it's perfectly normal to turn that colour before becoming true blonde.

hi as a salon owner I had a client a few months back who came in to have her colour repaired, she was Blonde and she had used Nice & Easy to try to get ASH Blonde well what a mess that was it had shades of what I can only describe as pink in it, you have to remember as well that different people different hair ie some are more porous than others, you stated you cannot afford a hair salon, well what I would suggest is to use a Sallys hair store or a good chemist and buy a toner in the colour you want, as you allready dark blonde it would work better, also remember that Nice & Easy contain no bleaching agents, so it will be very very hard to take your hair lighter, and these are wash in wash out products, my other idea would be to find a salon that has model nights that are much much cheaper and the stylists are 100% watched over so you get a very good cut or colour cheaply, just don't be bullied into having a style or colour you don't want, Nice & Easy for me does not do what it says on the tin !!!

Clairol is a good, safe product. Orange = not left on long enough.

What about just hilighting by bleaching out strips - use aluminum foil to keep those portions separate from the rest.

NO stay away from any OTC blonde colours, they are formulated for use on naturally dark blonde hair but most rely on developer (peroxide) for lightening which just doesn't have much lightening abilty at all! peroxide is just a carrier, it carries colour/bleach into the hairshafts to allow it to develop properly, without it colour/bleach would just sit on the hairshafts and be washed off as soon as wet. you will need to bleach and tone. try Smart blonde bleach, Loreal perfect blonde bleaching kit or Clairol born blonde bleaching kit and the use born blonde toners for toning the yellow/pale yellow off to an acceptable blonde shade. please bear in mind that hair will go through stages during the lightening process and no matter WHAT your natural colour is then we ALL have the same undertones so will ALL go through the same stages whilst bleach is removing the natural pigment, ginger/orange is normal, please see: http://photobucket.com/albums/j157/platinum_girly/shades.jpg

Nice and Easy are very good dyes, if you are concerned try using a pre lightener in your hair before the colourant you wish to have.

I recommend them, when i was younger i always used nice and easy

My natural hair is dark brown, both L'Oreal and Clairol turned it straw blonde, maybe a bit of a yellow blonde. I only got the carrot orange I wanted by adding L'oreal "Rouge recital" but as you dont want that..... choose a shader that suits.

Please don't use these ones they made my hair orange! One of them turned my hair tomato ketchup red and it was awful, everyone looked at my hair like I was mad!
I recommend the L'oreal ones, I have used them before and my bezzie mate never gets her hair dyed at the hairdressers she uses L'oreal and the colour is always gorgeous. But make sure you apply it evenly, if you have thick hair get a couple of bottles. If you have someone with you ask them to apply it as it'll be easier. Good Luck!

yes I have used them with great results every time. just be carefull what colour you choose. I can't get anything ash coloured because it makes mine look a bit orange. I go for lightest natural blonde.
