put about a tablespoon of cod liver oil or vegetable oil(like what u use for cooking) in his dinner..if hes fed twice a day then just put it in one meal, theres no need to put it in both, that should make him loose enough to rid the constipation but not runny enough that he can go thru the eye of a needle, i use this method when any of mine have constipation xx

You don't give his age or how long this has been going on??? These are important factors because if the blockage is bones or parts of a toy or if his intestines are blocked or if his stomach has flipped, he COULD be dying right now! Or it could be simple food constipation from not having enough fresh water available. Or from some strange food he ate that bound him up.

You have to give more facts before asking and trying out solutions on this dog because if this is an intestinal block, trying wierd cures on him could aggravate his condition or put his life at risk.

Does this dog chew up his toys, eat bones, get into the trash? Does he play extremely rough and bounce around a lot? If you answered yes to any of these you may need to head to the vet before you try anything else. ESPECIALLY if his belly is swelling up and he is acting very uncomfortable! Labs are known for gastric torsion which means a twisted stomach and this is a fatal condition if not vet treated. That means he could die. If he does have that and you wait until morning, he may not survive the night.

When my dogs get constipated we give them some vegetable oil in there food.. You can mix it in there food or just let them lick out of a bowl. i have an 85 pound lab and i give here roughly 1 1/2 tbsp. and i give my 40 pound mutt 1 tbsp.

A little bit of vaseline or parafin oil (sold for human constipation). Just a bit though! (let him lick a bit off his lips when on an empty stomach.

Go to your vet, they will give you some stuff that sits around his bowel and makes it come out like with a slimy film around it, this makes it easier for him and not painfull. Furthermore they will give you some diet advise, most important is not to leave the bowel in him that's dangerous
