Recently got one in the shoulder. Most painful thing for 5 straight minutes. It worked but did the Doc hit a nerve or something anyway?

I have just had one in the knee and it just felt like a normal injection, so maybe your doc did hit the bone or nerve as it shouldn't hurt at all.

I've had cortisone injections in my shoulders, elbow, hips, and back. The WORST one was much less painful than the constant misery I'd been living with every day.

I just had one a few hours ago in the hip, and it didn't feel any different than any other shot I got. I'm desperate to get rid of poison ivy, and would have had it again, even if I needed more than one injection at a time.
