~~~ Yes YSD, I do believe it is possible to miss somebody you've never actually met in person. I miss Bob Marley,and I'll never meet Him face to face in this life. Thinking about Him while listening to His music,or watching Videos on YouTube,or reading about Him occupies my mind in a pleasant way,because I admire him so much. So when I have to do other things,or go on errands,if it takes too long I start missing him. I also miss a couple contacts on YA that I liked and they disappeared. I think about them and hope they're okay. ~~~
The first definition of 'weltschmertz' is sentimental pessimism. I don't like that one.
The second is the quality of being homesick for a place I've never been, a deep longing - as if from a dream, like disappearing kite strings.
So to answer your good question, somehow, is yes.
yes it is - the dream that counts is what matters and what i am missing most.
When younger i thought it was just the adolescence phase everyone said i would eventually grow out of. i am 35, still missing and kicking... heh heh...
the worst in life however is not to miss, not to want.
I believe so. It's seeing a familiar face that has always been there and one day when they're gone, you miss it. It makes you ponder who they were, where they were going and why you never got the chance meet them.
