A widowed lady, Jesus says in the bible that to marry a divorcee is like committing adultery.
Check out Matthew 19:9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery."
Edit: Do you just give thumbs down because I am an Atheist? or is it because you are pissed that I know the bible?

Prophets are model for our life. They have married with virgins, widowed and divorced. Virgin is more preferred, widow is less susceptible with evil, while divorced is has some chance of being an evil lady. For any marriage we must see the girl, her character etc and in case of divorced we should see the reason of divorce. If husband is on fault then no porblem but if lady have fault then take care. In my view widow is more preferred but it depend upon sitiation.

The divorcee--because you know she's truly over her ex. To a widower, you may never be her true love--she just might be lonely!

This question is an example of why rational thinking trumps religious moral doctrine.
A religious answer to this question will be one based on some rules that assume all unmarried women to be the same, that ignore the intrinsic individuality of each human being. Instead of thinking, "is the right person for me", the rule demands you instead think, "how is one group the better choice over the other". Totally irrational.
No offense to the asker, but that is my view.

Well, we know the divorcee was lying when she said
"Till death do us part"
so I'd go with the widow....
....unless her late husband died under mysterious circumstances.
