Honey you are so right. I'm a pagan and it is so hurtful when people of other religions believe lies told by their church 2000 years ago. We are in an age where knowledge is so easy to access via the internet but they won't budge from the soap box. I have had xtians tell me that I don't understand their religion, funny how I was brought up catholic so I DO understand, and that I should study it, don't all schools force this? But do they study other religions to gain a clearer understanding? Some do and I am thankful that they try. But why can't others? I have stood on the doorstep talking to preachers who have been genuinely intrested in my beliefs and very respectful, because I listened to them and was respectful about their beliefs. Respect is the key.

Well lets see .
One religon is based on a books written at least 1500 years ago in most cases.
In a time with a little science known by a few people who were more advanced then others who were totally ignorant and superstitious sexaully repressed and mysogonisitic.
Where people dont anyaslise and question the book.
ie dont look at say the staroy of Sodum And gamoura and firebolts from the sky and just think.
Unlucky gits meteor strike.
Whilst the medica uses EVIDENCE, logic applies decent values like equality and fairness. And shows the behavourt of those of that relgion showing things as they really are.
Not the relgions 'sales pitch'

Yeah! I mean shows like the 700 club spreading lies and propaganda to trick simple minded people! Right on! I think all religions should take a history course in where their religion came from.

Because its easier to watch a quick clip on television than to actually do research on a subject. They'd rather hear the quick, potentially false version than do extra work to search for the truth. To them it isn't valuble enough to worry about looking up, sad really. They go and run their mouths for ten years from watching a three minute segment of propoganda.

Most people are far beyond stupid.
Btw, this question reminds me of a John Fogerty song, part of which goes: "I know it's true, oh so true, cause I saw it on TV."
The News Media in general are the modern day, "wives tales."

By my nature I am a consumer advocate, I do not sucumb to advertising, when I go shopping, I go to get, for I already know what I want. Pretty packaging, convienence, and ease do not tempt me.......other shoppers are more easily led.
I do not rely on the media, I am a firm believer in the adage, "if you want to know what the horse said, go directly to the horse'.
Likewise, if you want to know what God said, go to the Bible.
Trust no one, not even me..................
