This is where i was trying to get at in my previous posts, I didn't know that i was blessing others by my walk and it supprised me when they told me that they see my light, i didn't know that i was doing someone else good. I told people this publically because i was trying to give an example showing that if we walk in the ways of Christ, people are looking at us and most of the time we don't know that they are, so i was encouraging others to do the will of God and keep the faith, in the midst of that, you might be blessing someone else. Trying to encourage someone is not boasting. If i told someone that they need to be more like me, that would be boasting. But thats not what i was saying. If we walk in the ways of Christ, then others could be blessed, so we have to encourage others to have the mind that Christ had.

Yes, it is very possible. I think a person can be blessed by your walk with God and you never speak to that person or even know that person. I think that is what God wants. Our walk should be genuine and people that do not know us should be able to tell we are a Christian. That happened to me last week. I had stopped at this Chinese restaurant to pick up a take out lunch and as I was standing at the counter, these two men walked up beside me and one said to the other, Now there is a christian. I didn't say anything because I was not sure who they were talking to. But he said it again, so I looked over at him and he said to me "Ain't that right, you are a Christian." I said, "Yes Sir, I am". He said I knew it, your spirit bore witness to that. That is what it is supposed to do. I just smiled at him and told him thank you. That is what our Christian spirit is supposed to do if we are not ashamed of him.

Yes, it's possible for God to use you as a blessing to others without you realizing it. Based on this question, it doesn't sound as though you were being boastful, but rather trying to encourage other believers to walk the walk - not just talk the talk. If you're truly worried about it, ask God to examine your heart on the issue.

Now, pass the buttered toast and the strawberry jam!

Thats exactly right. The only person we should try to be like is Christ. If all Christians lived their lives like he did, than we would have no problems convincing people that God was real, or that Christ loved them enough to give himself for us. Its amazing. We bless people constantly by our actions. When we smile at someone walking by on the street. Help someone without being asked. Christ said, anything you do unto eachother, you do unto me. So we need to treat everyone with the same love we would treat Christ with. I love your attitude, keep walking in the light, and let it shine for this dark world to see for the rest of your days.
God Bless,
A Sister.

YES
That is a blessing in the purest form. It does not matter if you are the giver or the reciever of the blessing. Do not boast of your alms...what you give, give freely,.........many principles apply here................

As a reciever, I can testify that a kind word, a smile, or a simple gesture of courtesy can be a blessing. The value of a blessing is to give to the receiver, who is enriched or encouraged in some manner by having been in contact with you.

We make blessings so much more complicated than it is.

A deacon from our church was telling me as he worked the other day he wasn't paying attention and ran 3 steel fence posts into his backhoe, it ruined the radiator and a steering rod, very expensive. He said he just stopped and prayed because he knew part of it was spiritual warfare.

He had no idea how much he blessed me.

I probably would have had a cow..........no offense A COW, if you are reading this!

Oh yeah, back to the story. He blessed me with his self control and never knew it.

I recently found out from a classmate of 40 years ago that I was responsible for her even being able to go to highschool. I have no recollection of the event myself, but apparently on the day we registered for freshman classes, she wasn't there and I said something about it to the highschool principle. He apparently went to her home and talked to her parents about making it possible for her to go to highschool. We were all poor kids in a small community but most of us didn't realize that because we were all in the same boat. It is amazing how much effect we can have on anothers life and never realize ( I was 12 at the time) and even forget all about it. It is a simple matter of showing love for others as we are commanded to by Christ. Love your neighbors as you love yourself.

While serving in the Army, I got up one night to pray for one of my fellow medics, I did not know it at the time but he had wrecked his motorcycle bad at the same time i started to pray for him, the next day he said he wrecked at 2:00 in the morning the exact time i was woken to pray for him, God works in many ways
Another time I gave a soldier 30 dollars and 32 cents to buy supplies for his deployment, his exact total came to 30 dollars and 32 cents.
