Yes, you are in danger not only from the criminals you try to arrest, but of being sold out by the administration...
No thanks... it's not for me...

It’s at least as risky as any other law enforcement profession. If you’re assigned to the Mexican border your chances of being shot, assaulted or accused of a crime as high as any in the worst inner city neighborhoods in the US. The weather is hot, the hours are long and the victims are all over the place along with the drug dealers, smugglers and other con artists that plague the border. The pay sucks and so does the management. The American people don’t see you with white hats but gray faces and offer little in the way of support. You are out manned, out gunned and out financed. You don’t even have the luxury of a cup of coffee and donut while chatting with the local prostitutes like the boys in blue.

It depends on the assignment one gets. I know a Border Patrol Agent who is assigned to Cleveland OH. His job has almost no risk what so ever. The ones assigned in southwestern USA face a much different story. Not only is there danger from the drug cartels the freaking government will shoot you in the back for doing too good of a job. Go figure!

Yes,
Unless you shoot drug dealers first... But then you will be arrested and treated like the durg dealers should be.
I'll bet any money that the District Attorney is on the take that is why so many border patrol agents have been falsely accused and imprisoned.
SCUM BAG District Attorney....

This is a peach of a job.
We have land borders and sea borders so you could be helping people who arrive in the country tired and dusty or wet and cold.
Giving these poor people assistance and sending them on their way can be very rewarding.
Or you can shoot them on sight.

nope unless getting rocks thrown at you is dangerous. and border patrol agents might get bonus money from the life saving of the ones they catch. The agents might even get more money being a coyote them self they could definitely get away with it easy.
