You do not get to decide what charges to file.

Have your local police give him a no trespassing order and have the locks changed. If he threatens you call 911 and file a restraining order. If you are paying the rent and meeting the obligations of the lease, he can do nothing.

If he approaches you tell him to go away and call the police.

Do not contact a lawyer. They cost money and they can do nothing for you.

There are no free lawyers and they wouldn't take this on anyway. The local police can handle a no trespassing order.

You have the lease, you get to decide who can come in.

I operate the Home of Last Resort in Caldwell Texas and I know there are many people out there taking advantage of the disable and homeless. I deal with this every day.

These guys make money from the leasing company for bringing you there. They want him to bring more dissabled people to them so they side with him

Your only friend is the local community cop.

Once the no trespassing notice is given, there is nothing he can do.

These people pretend they are authorized by the government and will even try to fool the cop. It will not work and it does not matter. If you say no trespassing that it.

If you fail to meet the terms of your lease, the still have to go through the evicion process.

BTW - if he did get you to leave, your rent bill would continue to be charged to you while he rented it to someone else and put the money in his pocket. He will try to make you get a payee and then will try to become the payee in control of your SS check. That is the way the scam works.

steven c - you do not understand. The attorney General don't give a hoot about a disable homeless person.

In their eyes an ungrateful disgruntled homeless person got this wonderful helpful minister to the needy to find her an apartment and is then spitting back at him in ingratitude.

These so called ministers to the homeless are professionals at manipulating homeless people to work for them for nothing.

We had a guy in bryan texas working at the mission 40 hours a week for no pay and was thrown out for not paying them $50 per week. Praise Jesus!

You can name the police. In this subject, sure, you'll be able to truthfully name the police if he try to take away you from the position. If he isn't the landlord, or the leasing manufacturer, then you definately can not be evicted through him. I anticipate he not ever filed any papers both--as handiest the landlord can do that. He's only a few man that's tricking you. As for the leasing agent touch a few man who isn't in your rent, then I recommend that you just manage this via the lawyer generals workplace, and the state's reasonable housing fee. This is your rental!!! You preserve the rent. And you are making repayments. Further, he can not have keys! So you'll be able to ought to have the locks transformed, and make contact with the polic for trespassing. You can ship him a letter notifying him that you're severing any entry he has for your rental, and that he's to go back the keys. You do not even have to consider like you are concerned...whats the identify and quantity of the landlord, leasing agent, and the identify of this loopy man? There are such a lot of legislation in opposition to what they're doing, the phrase jail involves brain. So you can not be touched, legally, however you ought to be robust ample to quit this ridiculous movements.

Good lookin out, packnrat! Did you also consider contacting your local BBB? Or Legal Aid? In some instances such as yours they will help you, or refer you to the proper org. that can. Also, you are entitled to change the locks. There is no way he can evict you in such a short span of time. I AM A LANDLORD AND I CAN TELL YOU FOR A FACT. T his is not possible. The quickest I've been able to evict anyone is 5 days. That's only because they were a few months behind on rent. You should also look into the legalities of this so-called charity org. I once gave a house to a church who immediately tried to sell it. Since that was not the intended purpose they lost it just as quickly. Go to the city council with your problem maybe they will help you.

As you are not a police officer or a district attorney you cannot file charges against anyone. However, you can and should contact the police immediately. They will happily take your report and pass it on to the investigators.

The only reason people get away with doing things like this is because the victims either do not realize they are being victimized or they do not contact the police out of fear or because they feel stupid.

Take the initiative and contact the police ASAP.

If the lease is in your name only and he put up the money to get you into the apartment there is nothing he can do. If I were you I would find out how much it is for the staff to change the locks and pay it. Then contact the state in which you live. Notify the Attorney General office on how this low live runs his so called charity and get them involved they will shut him down and file the appropriate charges if there are any to file. With any luck you can get put on the jury at his trial.

Contact a lawyer and see what he says, if it cost to much, then look for free lawyers, maybe at colleges. you will win as long as everyone is in on it.
