I am inviting my boyfriend and his kids over for tuna noodle casserole. The kids are picky so I decided to make something simple! I wanted to know what else I can make with this dish that would fit well with it or should I just have that as the dinner?

I have 8 nieces and nephews, and they all love Pillsbury Grands. Make these with the casserole and you´ll see them smile.

Tuna noodle casserole can stand alone as a meal. However, you could add a loaf of bread or some type of rolls that the kids would enjoy and an antipasto (instead of a basic salad). With an antipasto, you can add things - like chunks of various cheeses, pepperoni, olives and pickles - that the children might like. You can also serve the antipasto with bread sticks while the tuna casserole is cooking and then later have the casserole and bread.

Every time I make it, I make it with bread and butter and a side of peas. Sometimes i make it with toast, then mix the (frozen) peas into the tuna casserole and put it all on the toast. It's so good.

But yeah, kids can be very picky, so I think that a nice veggie and bread and butter will satisfy. Good luck with the dinner though! you can also check out some recipe sites to get other ideas for your next dinner!

I would add a combination salad or fresh raw veggies and a dip. Even though you've heard the kids are picky eaters, you could ask your boyfriend about some of their likes and dislikes. That way you can be sure to have something that they normally like.

Take some home made bread, spread butter on it, lay on some mozarella cheese and put in oven until toast is browned and cheese is melted. All kids love this.
