where can i buy a dipstick for a dodge sprinter that i have?? i tried every dealership and store. nothing.?

i need the dipstick to fit years from 2002-2006.

Any Dodge dealer should be able to get a Sprinter dipstick. You don't necessarily have to sell Sprinters in order to get parts. We were not a Sprinter dealer but we still sold a lot of parts for them.

you can try this:

buy one that is longer than you need. push it into the tube until it hits the bottom of the oil pan & mark this point on the dipstick where the top of the tube and the dipstick meet.

measure the distance between this mark and the sealng surface at hte top of the dipstick and cut that amount from the BOTTOM of the dipstick.

double check the length by reinserting the shortened dipstick into the tube and make sure that it seals at the top of the tube.

drain the oil out of the engine.

fill the engine with the recommended amount of oil and runn it.

let it sit for about 20 minutes or so and remove the dipstick mark the dipstick at the point where the oil level show with a scratch mark or something that won't wear away. this shows you the 'full' level

drain 2 quarts of oil.

reinsert the dipstick and again mark the dipstick.

this will indicate when the level has dropped and that you will need to add oil or find the source of yor leak

insert the dipstick and remove

Try Freightliner Truck dealer. The Freightliner Sprinter is the same, except for the grille and badge.

You can do an online search for auto salvage yards, You should be able to find one there. If not maybe try ebay..
