Hi to all, I would like to ask, which foods does any recommend for someone suffering from cancer to maintain their weight, while have chemotherapy. My Mother is 45 years old, and suffers from; breast cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, and liver cancer. She has lost almost 20kgs in the past few years, and now she’s down to 60kg. Though the last weeks days she had dropped to 58kg. I know it’s normal for someone to lose weight, but which foods will help her gain, and maintain weight, without affecting or irritating the liver much. Thanks a lot for your time. Any information will be great. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like she has metastatic breast cancer "TO" the organs you mentioned which would diminish appetite even without the palliative chemotherapy. We used to try "Megace" which is a progestational agent that helps a few breast cancer patients
without any major risk of side effects other than expense of the pills. I'm sure your oncologist knows all about this. This is something that would best be discussed with her oncologist and his or her oncology nurses.
