ive been out with heaps of guys bot ive never told my dad. i want to tell him that want to start dating this guy i like. but what do i say???

as a dad of a daughter that just started dating here is what she said to me.. she said dad this is so and so and we are good friends and we want to start dating, would it be ok if we went out on a date and then tell your dad what you plan to do and what time you will be home and the be home at that time or even better yet be home a litle earlyer on that first date to build your trust. then your dad will see that you are a smart and responsable girl and it will be easyer for him to let you go.... hope that helps... by the way how old are you?

I think its best if you don't tell him, but let him know. Just say that you're going to meet some guy at the movies or wherever you go. That way he'll get the hint and maybe have more of an open mind. Then you can tell him if ya want.

i just told my dad that i think I'm old enough to date don't you? he said yeah why do you ask?i said because
I've been asked out by a few guys and i kinda want to go out with this one guy.he said i have to meet him first.it made no since to me on why he had to meet him before we go on a date,i though he would just scare him off because he's a cop but he didn't.then my dad wanted to meet him again but then i didn't tell him that were not seeing each other anymore and that i was seeing someone else.lol he looked disappointed but what can i say.

If you need to ask your dads permission to date my number 1 advice is to introduce the guy to your dad before you go out with him. If he's knows him and knows a little bit about him, he may not feel so bad about it.

Never on a first date. The whole purpose is to be attentive to the woman your with. As a longer term issue I do look at other women but make sure they dont see me looking if i am with my girl. That shows them extreme disrespect.

Well you could plan a date with this guy and then have the guy come and pick you up. When he gets to your house introduce him to your dad. I think your dad will get the point. If he wants to discuss it with you than he will later.

Well.....at least you are going to your parents for consent.Good for you. Simply go to your dad,and say hey dad,what do you think about me starting to date. Most parents know best,so go to your father and talk to him. If nothing else im sure he will appreciate your honesty.

I keep my dates private. I dont like my parents knowing about who i date it makes me feel uncomfertable. But since you want ihm to know them i would tell him your going where ever with a friend but make the guy go inside im sure he will catch on.

Depends on how old you are. If you are old enough to date, just tell him that you have a date, and ask if it is okay to go.
