my dog loves his daily dose of peanut butter in his king toy, but is it too much?

Actually I was told I could give that much to a 20 pound dog. She had to have daily medication so I gave it to her in peanut butter. My vet was OK with the amount too.

You could give your dog a tea spoon of Peanut butter and see how your dog handles it. My mother gives her dog peanut butter on a small thing of bread the size of a half a dollar. Make sure you dog a fresh water.

No, not at all. It IS a bit fatty, but 1 TB a day for a big active dog is fine. Most dogs love peanut butter, and in moderation it won't hurt them.
