If I am right about what I've experienced, you just find yourself doing it. You don't have to worry. In fact, if you are worrying about it, you don't get it! You are more easily doing things in God's will than out of it.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
(Psalm 37)
EDIT: It's all about you and Him. If you are not sure, then stop EVERYTHING until you do. Do nothing except prayer, fasting, and Bible reading. Eventually you won't have to ask a thing. He WILL show you.

I am called first to be a grateful child of GOD through Christ Jesus. Secondly I am a father of 4 children. An 18 Year Old Girl, Boys ages 7 and 3, and a newborn baby girl. Raising Godly children in a joy filled peaceful learning environment is a high calling IMHO. After that I am on the Worship Team at Calvary Chapel Heartland. And a few other things. Is that enough? GOD bless ya

I will never forget a certain preacher's definition of a call: The awareness of a need and the capacity to meet that need. If you are in a foreign place doing God's work, whether or not your call has a miraculous quality, I believe God will be pleased that you are serving him.
But I believe it is highly advisable to have a "tentmaking" skill or something that would enable you to financially stand on your own two feet. I have seen many ministries that were short lived because of too little money. However, some missionaries have such amazing faith and tenacity that they thrive in almost any circumstance.
Serving God certainly is not for the weak.

You will have a drive to serve and it won't let you alone.
Once you get there, you will find out if you don't like it or not and can drop out. You may loose your tuition for that semester.
The only thing you have to loose is time or money.
If you don't have a dream while you are sleeping, a vision or hear it in you ear, they you may be moved by the Holy Spirit, in which case you will want to go because of your Love for God and by your faith.

If you are a Christian you are first and foremost called to make disciples.
Matthew 28
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Going on mission is noble but I think more Christians go on mission than are called to do so. Makin' babies it the fun part, raising them (making disciples) is where the work is.
On the other hand, the U.S. is one of the largest mission fields you can be in today.

Jesus came down from heaven to do the will of His Father only:
John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
John 8:29 And He who has sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.
John 9:4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
In the same way, we as Christians are called to do the work of Jesus only and the Lord Jesus will personally choose us and appoint us so that we can bear fruit of eternal value:
John 15:16 You did not choose Me but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
When we allow Jesus to personally call us for service we then we will taking only His yoke upon ourselves and His yoke will be easy and His burden light.
Matt 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you find rest for your souls. For My yoke is east and My burden is light.
I believe that we are not ready to serve Jesus unless we can hear His voice telling us what to do for Him and getting His instructions all the time when we are serving Him. Then we are really doing what Jesus calls us to do. Until then we ought to grow up to know Him better and to be more like Him

if you gave up money to serve god, you will be fine.
in the new testament, the apostles went out "two by two, without purse nor script" and they were fine.
the lord has a way of protecting those who serve him. "even the hairs of your head are numbered"
i think you will be fine.

Start going to services. Then approach the minister or leader for more information on how you can help.

You hear a voice in your head... People'll tell you you're crazy, but don't believe them. Just because you're talking to yourself and thinking some magic invisible man is listening doesn't make you crazy...
