Five minutes or less.

I seem stuck at the 6-minute mark, and wish to lower that to at least under 5.

I've read up a bit on this inane topic (though surprisingly little information online -- what with all the other inane things on the Web); and learned about the cold shower, soaping the cloth first, taking a "Navy shower," and a few other interesting ideas.

Yours are welcome.

The purpose of the Navy shower isn't to save time, it's to save water. It's true that the water is only on for a couple minutes, but it doesn't necessarily take you less time to clean up than it does when the water runs the entire time. You have to stop to turn off the water and to turn it on again.

Hamzay's answer refers to the "motor-T" bath. I thought about suggesting that one too, except it doesn't get you *entirely clean*.

So I think the fastest way is to have the water running the entire time and work from the top down using only one product -- be it shampoo, bar soap, or body wash -- to lather both your head and body. The drawback of using only one product is, since they are specially formulated, bar soap or body wash might be harsh to your hair while shampoo may leave your skin feeling a bit slick. Additionally, replace your regular showerhead with a hand-held. Grab it after you lather up and you can rinse everywhere really fast.

Why would you want a fast shower? A shower is the most relaxing and enjoyable part of the day. Your naked in warm water - what could be so bad you want to rush through it?

Take your hairdryer in with you. The electricity clears off the dirt in like 10 seconds flat.
