Me and my spirts are equals, I don't need to bow to them to get them to help-- friendly dialogue is enough for me. But to each their own, all religions and people have their different types of prayer.

But, who do you pray to (or speak to) and why?

Um and I'm not the one giving thumbs-down.

The only person I gave thumbs-down to was the person bashing on prayer. They didn't answer my question and instead attacked everyone else for it.

Ah and the person calling my spirits "evil". Sorry but ancient dead guys aren't always good, but they're not always evil either. They're shades of grey like us humans.

Most of the time I just talk. I sometimes talk to the Father, and sometimes Jesus. I know that He listens because Jesus said that the Father always listens to Him.

Sometimes I talk to Him about His promises, just to let Him know that I am paying attention to them. I guess it's more for my peace of mind, because He already knows what I am doing.

I like to do anything that makes us closer. I won't give that up for anything.

I pray to Jesus because He is the only mediator between man and God. He paid for my sins to be removed so that I could have a relationship with the Holy One. Our dialogue is friendly and when I wander away from him, He calls me and I return by bowing down saying, "I thought I could do it on my own but in my pride I was wrong again. Only you are perfect so I ask you to help me." He always welcomes me warmly. He's a perfect friend forever. It's amazing what happens when i'm in a right relationship with Jesus, the ways He speaks to me through His word and the still small voice of His Spirit.

I already answered this question, posed by someone
else. (Some guy asked which saint I pray to.)
Well, okay. If you insist upon knowing, fine. Who do I
pray to? One of the lesser-known "latter-day" saints.
I pray to Saint Fred. And, no, I DO NOT mean Saint
Frederick--who was a cousin to Saint Nicholas, the
one who inspired the internationally infamous, and
very fictitious, Santa Clause.
I mean Saint FRED.
Now, you might ask, "What did this Saint Fred ever
do that was so very saintly?"
I thought you'd never ask! What Saint Fred did do,
was found the city of Cleavland. (I know what you're
thinking: "He founded Cleavland? OH? Really?")
OH, really! Where did you think Cleavland is located,
anyway?
Have a nice day.

I pray to God, the Holy Spirit, my Arch Angels and all Angels, Blessed Mary too. Why? Because I believe just as there are people who have dedicated their lives to God's when living, there are souls who continue to do God's work when they have passed. And of course, you can't go wrong praying the the one and only. Also, I do not believe I am equal as these Angels, as I do not have the advantage as they do being in Spirit form. Being human kind of limits you. LOL

I pray to Jesus. Because when I do my prayers are answered. I am blessed, and he lets me know when I do something wrong. I can be one with the spirit of Christ anytime I want, and we communicate on a higher level of spirituality that is out of this world. Thanks for the Q.

Who the hell needs to pray and what for. Are you that pathetic that you have to believe in a made up person to fulfill your life.Just get on with life and stop wasting your time. You will be dead soon enough and there is nothing after that. Stop believing in fairy tales

I pray to God Almighty, His Son our Savior and the Holy Spirit.

I ask the Blessed Mother and all the Saints to pray for me (or someone else) to the Lord our God.

I also ask my fellow Benedictines to pray for me or for someone else to the Lord our God.

I ask my friends to pray if needed to the Lord our God.

We Christians pray TO father God, THROUGH Jesus His Son, WITH THE AID OF the Holy Spirit.

Otherwise, He won't hear us!

I pray to Allah(god) and no one else because I believe that we only have one god and as a Muslim I know that I don't need a mediator between me and god because he can hear my pray, and worshiping someone else is against my believes .I pray to Allah because the only reason that he created us is to worship him
