Hi there. First of all there are two types.Refurbished and Factory Refurbished.Factory Refurbished products differ from other refurbished products because they are restored to the exact manufacturer specifications by the original manufacturer in a certified refurbishing center. In addition, these products typically come with the added advantage of a manufacturer warranty. These unused or used items have been returned to original manufacturers for various reasons such as used in displays or cancellations. They are worth considering if you don't want to pay the price of new equipment .Just make sure they are Factory Refurbished items

My experience with most refurbished products (especially those purchased directly from the manufacturer) has been outstanding.

Last year I purchased a 46" refurbished LCD television, a reasonably new laptop and a HTC Smartphone for my wireless service. All of these things are still working beautifully and saved me over 1500.00 dollars versus the brand new ones.

Sure some of them may have tiny, near imperceptible blemishes somewhere on the case but they money saved is well worth it in my opinion.

The important thing to check for is a return policy as they usually differ from the return policy of new products from the same retailer.
