The truth is still the truth. The word of God is intact and available. research it and see for yourself there are Bibles that date back to 200 and the DSS has Isaiah from 250 BC which scripture would you consider changed please let us see this proof that you claim. Free will is the opportunity to choose God or to believe a lie without this opportunity we would not be having this discussion.God gives man a free will choice this does not mean there are not consequences of sin. If your wish is for an unrighteous God that could agree with sin, sorry.

Let us look at this logically.
He gives us free will, meaning we can chose to disobey him.
He is also a God of Justice, so he gives us the consequenes of our actions.
Therefore, he does not punish us for using our free will. He punishes those who use there free will to reject him. If we go to hell, it is because we chose to.
Now, on to your statement about the Bible being altered. I have read the Bible and I have seen some mistranslations, I grant you. However, I have not seen any alteration of a sort that would make me think that I was not honoring the true God of the Universe. Perhaps you could explain this?
In my denomination, we hold that the Bible, in its original language, the the Word of God. It certainly can be altered my Man today, but that does not change the truth of the original text. Now, if you are saying that the original text has been changed, I have never seen any proof of that and would be most interested in seeing it.

As unbelievers are "dead in trespasses and sins" (Ephesians 2:1) they must be regenerated by the Holy Spirit before they are given the gifts of repentance and faith; man does not have the free will to choose spiritual good. Unbelievers go to hell because their nature is to sin. Only out of His mercy (see Romans 9) does God save anyone at all, and it is all of grace, not some supposed free will that God NEVER gave man in the first place.

Would you want your husband/wife, your parents, your kids & your entire family to love you because they CHOOSE to or because they HAVE to?
We are made in the image of God. He is more like us than we choose to see. He wants to be loved just like we do. Not by mindless robots who don't have a choice but by loving children who do.
The Bible is the inspired word of God....regardless of translation. Do you think God so lame that He could give the words to the original authors of the Bible yet be unable to help the translators put it into a language we all understand? Now THAT would be cruel & really stupid on His part. He sends His Son to die a cruel & unusual death to offer us eternal life yet He leaves behind an instruction manual that no one can understand or follow. Just ridiculous. If you go to hell it's your own choice. You know the way out. Believe or don't believe. The only one condemning you is you.
It's called faith. God gave each of us a measure of it. Use it.

maybe He punishes man for using it the wrong way. If I give you a razor blade and you cut yourself with it b/c you held it the wrong way, is that my fault?
If we are going to believe what people say about biblical texts being false then we have to belive what people say about it being true b/c there is plenty of evidence to weigh both ways. Naturally the way you lean in your mind is the evidence you will choose as truth and the same goes for me.
Perhaps intolerant egotistical portrays more than some god that you have chosen to bash...
PS... sometimes all the proof you need is right in front of you and not on paper or behind what someone else says. Try searching it out for yourself. A dedicated search for truth will result in truth as long as you don't let your mind twist things to your convienence.

It was their disobedience to a direct command from God that was punished. He even warned them ahead of time of the consequences. Free will is personal choice, and it can be exercised without breaking the rules. You can freely choose to do what's right, or you can freely choose to do what's wrong.
An adult can freely choose to be a law-abiding citizen or they can freely choose to break the law. We are all aware of the penalties for breaking the law, and if we choose to break them anyway, then we should be prepared to accept the negative consequences of our actions. By your logic, should we let all criminals off the hook if they blame their disobedience to the law on their parents? Should the parents have been a domineering presence in that adult child's life, constantly following them around and FORCING them to make the right choices? Of course not! Isn't the lawbreaker the one truly responsible?

Christians believe Satan gave free will not God. God wanted unquestioning children. Remember the apple?

not using it but using it wrongly. Just like if your parent trusted you to make the right choice and let you go out with your friends and not drink but you decided to drink do you think your parent shouldn't punish you because they let you go out to begin with?????
What proof do you have that the bible has been altered and what faith are you?

There is one true and living God.
To sit in judgment of him is not wise.
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Who are you to blame God? It's so generous of Him gives you chance to examine your life while you still have breaths in your lungs before He fulfills His promise to throw you into that pit of fire and leave you alone forever with those who had the same thinking like you now.
