the only reason i don't support the war is because i don't believe those young men and women that make up our military belong over there...i don't like the reasons why we're there.

also, my father and my grandfather are veterans of the vietnam war...i'll be damned if people are going to think that i'm spitting on our troops.

hey, ebmid2 - you're a close-minded fool. did you ever think that, that's NOT my way of supporting our troops? i'm supporting our troops by not supporting the war. if you really supported our troops, you'd want them home, and not in that hell of war.

Because when you oppose the war you embolden the enemy, and that leads to the deaths of our troops. And if that's your way of supporting our troops, then I hope you never support me.

I think you would be in the majority regarding the Iraq war based on those sentiments. I feel the same way, support the troops not the war. Those who would have you think that having an opinion other than theirs is wrong are those who would like to restrict rights which is totally wrong on all levels to anyone who really understands the purpose of a military in this country.

It would not be prudent to put you in that category of someone that does not support the troops, but you should recognize the history of the USA and modern history at that....when the anti war crowd in the 60's cost us victory in Vietnam they did not support the troops, they spat on them, called them baby killers and did a lot of really ugly things. That is not your fault, but it is the history of your movement.

Now the bigger question is supporting not supporting the war, for I can't see why anyone wouldn't want us to win the peace in Iraq for the people there - and ourselves.

Ya - that's humorous to artwork out all those "help our troops" subject concerns on the returned of peoples' autos - yet our troops have been denied weapons and armor and bypass away and rotation - and whilst they get abode they are denied scientific help and so one and so on. anyone is in many situations complete idiots - they only come to a determination to look like they help troops - in many situations they do now not care. The conflict does not touch them - they only choose their tax rebate study.

Well, do you think that it helps these young men and women to know that the man leading them is being bashed again and again? Supporting the troops has nothing to do with supporting the war. Calling the president a murdurer, a tyrant, a maniac does.

Hey Lori, Hey. Your one of those conspiracy nuts right. Howd he do it? I'm dying to know. Really. Dumbass.

If you don't believe the reasons we're there are valid, then you're against the war.

Perhaps it would be best to wait for the enemy to come here and attack us before we just go into a war.

Oh wait...

Edited to add: Lori..

Bush and Cheney blew up the WTC? Good Lord. Well, I guess if you're against the war, these are the people who are on your side. Better listen to them.

Hey, keep adding the thumbs down. Pretty soon you'll block my post and nobody will be able to see it.

What kind of idiot thinks Bush rigged two buildings with explosives so that he could make money off of oil? Keep drinking the kool-aid...

If your going to say that you don't suppport the war make sure that your say that you don't agree about being there, but that you support the troops like a good american citizen should.

Because a sharply decreasing number of servicemen volunteered to serve their country when we weren't in this particular war. That means that a lot of us volunteered knowing full well what we were getting in to. Not, "If I enlist/reenlist, we might go to war while I'm in," but, "I'm enlisting/reenlisting knowing that we are at war, and that's where my country probably needs me." A lot of people have the idea that you can't support someone if you don't support his chosen profession.

they think this because recently everything is a stereotype. all republicans want war, all democrats aren't patriotic, all that crud. None of it is real. Politics are so messy, please don't take it to heart. i support where you are coming from. I wont get into politics, no matter what i have to say, just know that you have your opinions and the people who matter should respect you no matter what, even if they don't agree. if they are too stubborn to realize this, then drop it. Don't get into it with them, it will end up ugly.

Stupidity is everywhere. Don't pay attention to them. You're not the only one who doesn't support the war. Actually, most American people don't.
