Atheism is not dogmatic per se, just like Christianity or any other belief system is not dogmatic per se.

But atheists are *capable* of dogmatism.

The point is no label of 'atheist' or 'Christian' automatically condones nor shelters you from dogmatism.

I don't dismiss Zeus or Thor. I believe that they really exist although not in the form that the ancient Greeks or Vikings worshiped them in their minds.

1 Corinthians 10:19 What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons.

I don't think atheism is dogmatic. I think (as Aldous Huxley-an atheist-famously stated) it's a convenient way for people to ignore basic rules of behavior and morality.

"For I am god, your lord, you shalt put no other gods before me"
