i believe religion to be an easy answer to our existence that some one or few ppl came up with and naive ppl believed

btw jesus was not born in a manger or a carpenter, despite popular belief, he was from royal anescetoray how was rich and his job was could be classified as a politian. that is not to say he was bad person. he had good ethics and trully wanted to help ppl in general but espicially thoughs how were being "hurt" by the romans. that is why he was crusified.
many ppl wanted his legacy and teachings to live on so they vastly exageratted his story, so much so that his teachings and life story were almost completely changed.

btw jesus is not the son of god. he never stated this and NO one belived he was. if u dont believe me just look at contemporary bibles/ very old testaments.

how can some one believe in god wen there is not even the smallest amount of proof of his existence. theres about a million times more of a chance of santa clause being real.

You're totally ignorant of history, the bible, grammar, and spelling. Actually ask a question next time and you may learn something.

Sorry, Dave, but you are incorrect on a great many counts.

1- Your assertion that Jesus was not born in a manger or was not a carpenter; you base this on what exactly? I have read very old testaments and often use an interleaner Bible to check the modern translations and the translations do not deviate as much as you assert.

2- He was of royal lineage, but not a politician. He was a decendant of King David, but held no seat in the Sanhadrian, no post in the government, and was not a noble.

3- Jesus did claim to be God on several occasions. Once he was nearly stoned for it by the mob. if you read the accounts of early church followers, they held the belief that he was God Incarnate from the very beginning.

4- Finally, there is proof that God does exist. The question really is, are you openminded enough to examine it?

Where is the proof that God does not exist? Christians believe only the account of Jesus as told to us in the Bible. The Gospels are that account. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, who tell the same story as led by the Holy Spirit, from each one's perspective. We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God with no discrepancies.

First of all I wasn't around at the time of Christ so I don't know if he was rich or not.I BELIEVE the biblical story of his birth and his life but admit I can't prove it to anyone else.I also can't prove your existence beyond a reasonable doubt. There is an old expression "I think therefore I am"which in essence says I can only prove to myself that I exist. All else could be my imagination. As for believing in God,it does me no harm nor you any harm.If you're right I'll die and never know I was wrong, and still be non the worse for believing. If I'm right I'll be forever happy.I'm willing to take the chance that I'm right.

Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers so says the bible.
Why?
So that people will look for excuses not to accept their responsibility to server Jehovah.
When you were a child, you were under your fathers and mothers command.
Now you've grown up, had your own family and ask your parents for advice.
When the children are gone, your parents have grown old, you are responsible for their care.
Thus the cycle of life in Satan's system of things.
But to shoulder our responsibility and learn and serve Jehovah, proves we are his creation when we act according to how the family arrangement was made.
Jehovah is the creator of the family arrangement.

The problem that Atheists and atheists have is that they believe that because Christians testify of the truth that it means that the Christian believes that the Atheist or atheist (or agnostic, or any adherent of any other belief system) will automatically and magically believe what they are saying.

As believers we know that God calls those who will believe and all we are doing is presenting the truth. The Holy Spirit convicts the hearer of their sin and draws them to repentance and faith in God.

easy is right and the social benefits overcome the stupidity that doesn't seem to matter to the short sighted anyway .
your depiction of Jesus is just as possible as any I've heard before . But people just don't care that much as they tend to be shallow and nearsighted on the whole . Maybe some day the highschools will put up standards beyond illiterate .
peace anyway

So you're argument against a so-called made up religion is to make up your own stuff? (Although, you are correct about Jesus not identifying himself as the Son of God). By default though, he did call God his Father. As to the other stuff, that's all conjecture.

I am having trouble understanding how it is that most of the posts in the Religion and Spirituality section are written by people who are neither religious nor spiritual? What question are you asking? I don't see one. All I see is your opinion, and nothing anyone can say to you will alter that.

First of all its very hard to decipher your question. Try hitting the spell check button and throw in a few verbs now and then. The facts you list are totally erroneous and opinions you expressed are absurd at best.
