Because if you do you have to understand that this is how we learn from him. He will let me know if I am right or wrong. I just have to keep my eyes open.

God is always open to dialogue with those who earnestly seek his will. As with any relationship that we have chosen to engage in,there will be times of confusion and need for clarification..He will never comprimise his Word, but is more than able and willing to make it known,to those who will hear.
A confused or even angry rant,God can deal with and will respond with patience and love...Silence breaks his heart.

God isn't afraid of our reasoning or our questions, and I agree that this is often how we learn. Kind of the same way a small child learns by questioning their parents and testing the boundaries. Sometimes the lessons learned are hard ones, and we quickly realize that those boundaries are in place for good reasons. Jacob "wrestled" with God and was blessed for it, and Moses questioned God many times. And, these are just two examples from the Bible.

But, wisdom comes into play once God makes His stance on the issue clear to you. You must then choose whether or not to follow Him. And, I think we both know that going our own way is foolish. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." -Proverbs 14:12

For the record, I've NEVER won an argument with God. I've always been quickly humbled in His presence, my arguments always begin to crumble, and then He gently teaches me where I'm wrong.

Cute as you are, I have to disagree. Except for a few minor sects like Methodists, Mennonites and Congrationalists and the Jesuit and Franciscan orders of Catholic clergy, being a Christian is all about sucking up to Authority. And God is the ultimate Authority figure. That's why the Religious Right treats their Beloved Leader Bush like a divinely annointed King--kinda like he seems to see himself.

Jews have had it a lot easier. The Patriarchs Prophets and Judges were always arguing or bargaining with God, with varying degrees of success. Jonah got an entire ship's company killed and himself swallowed by Leviathan when he tried to quit his job. Esiah got God to send bears to kill children who made fun of his bald head. Joshua and Gideon got some good military advice, and Moses actually shamed God out of destroying the Israelites on Mt. Sinai. This was probably, as Saul Alinsky notes in "Reveille for Radicals," because he was in his 70's at the time and didn't feel up to having a new nation spring from his loins--especially after hearing the story about Lot and his two daughters.

Thinking for yourself is always dangerous, the moreso for a Christian. Do too much of it and you'll end up an agnostic--like the Jesuits.

You can argue all you want.

Here is what it means to be a Christian
Follow Jesus Christ (who never argued with the God)
repent
take up your cross and follow Him daily
believe in Him and make Him Lord and Savior of your life.

It's not nice to argue with Father God

Faw...LOL...nope, wouldn't dream of saying "no"!

I love our Father God, and I respect and revere Him...however, that doesn't mean I accept everything meekly...LOLOLOL. Jesus says to "test the Spirits" and I do just that!

[does He tell you to "be still" sometimes too? :) ]

Seriously though, the things that I have questioned and learn from are the things that stay with me and leaves no doubt there for satan to play with at his leisure.

Peace be with you all and good night! :)

Yes you can argue your point with god. I just don't know an arguement God lost.

It's pointless. He's already given you all his answers before you've even asked the questions - they're in the Bible.
