Pln: I have not only been at someones side when they have died, I've had my hands on them, or in their abdominal cavities in surgery, or around their throats in combat. I know for a fact that the only thing you feel is your own emotions.

Because instead of leaving, it simply ceases existing.

That's because the soul is you and when you die your soul dies along with you, it does not separate from you or go off into some other place. To prove this I will give you some scriptures to read. And then get back to me if you don't understand them. You will note that animals also have souls and the soul also dies along with the animal.
Ge 2:7
1 Cor 15:45
Jos 11:11
Acts 27:37
Num 31:28
Rev 16:3
Lev 24:18
Jer 2:34
Lev 7:18
Eze 18:4
Mark 8:36
John 10:15
Lev 17:11
Ps 146:4; 104:29
Eccl 12:7
Eze 37:12-14
Please don't try to comment until you have read all of these scriptures, then I think you will get a full understanding of what the soul is. If you have the 1610 version of the Old King James Version you may have a hard time understanding the old English.

I will send you a new Bible if you would like.
It will be the "New World Translation " in modern English so you can understand what's being said in todays English language, free of charge, no gimics or obligation just free to all avitar members.

Sincerely yours,
Fred M. Hunter

Logically: how do you know that what is experienced at the moment of death isn't the feeling of the soul leaving the body?! There are not very many people who believe in the existence of a spiritual entity so any information collected would be cast aside as heresy and "mumbo jumbo"

Theoretically, spiritual entities do not have the capacity to "feel" on the physical level like humans do, so I would guess that the departure from the physical shell wouldn't "feel" any certain way.

Opinion: I believe our soul does feel something. I think it would be like the big deep breath you take when you are in an environment that you are totally at peace in....for me its somewhere away from the hussle of the city. Where I can take a deep cleansing breath and breath free for a while. I think that is what it must feel like for our souls to leave the physical shell....a big deep cleansing peaceful breath!

i preface this answer by telling you that im an atheist and i have since lost the source for this tidbit of info, but...according to a german scientist, upon weighing bodies both prior to death and shortly after death, he concluded that the soul weighs 3/4 of an ounce

Hello? why don't you feel it leave them when they die? them??dont you get it!! your flesh is worthless, you are your soul..it only takes a little thinking to find out that if our body is simply flesh with no value, then that must mean that we ARE our souls....Your actions on earth will determine were you go according with your beliefs(heaven or hell),and if your soul is what you go there as,then that can only mean that you are your soul because your earthly actions were put upon your soul not your flesh.........

How do you know it's not felt? Ever been at the side of someone at the moment of their death? I will tell you there is indeed a noticable change in the room.

It's on a different physical realm of existence. One we are blind to, at least currently.

We don't have souls, we are souls so when we die only our body dies, who we are remains the same.
