it's been depressing for me lately... am aching in my heart for another child... but i feel that it's impossible at this point.

Actually your timing is perfect to ask this. Mine was 6 years ago this Friday. My wife then said some terrible things that made my skin crawl, (which I didn't know really happens - but it can).
She told me to find a girlfriend and it over (or visa versa I forget), and some other things. And I was arrested. (And let go uncharged two days later.) Anyway nothing in my life has been darker. Terrible night.
#2 was watching my son leave for Costa Rica, not knowing if he would remember me. Fortunately he does, so all's good.
#3 Listening to my ex talk on phone. LOL (just kidding)

Life isn't dark for me anymore. I spent a little over two years in a serious drug addiction and involved in some other not-so-smart activities.
I am able to handle situations better now. So even when I face tough times, I know things could be a whole lot worse.

Tough question. I don't consider my life to have darkness. Now there are plenty of trials and tribulations in my life, which are usually the results of one of the 5 kids doing something that causes me grief.

If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning
