I have used it for many years and have never had a flea on my dogs. I have four dogs ranging in age from 3 months to nine years. It is very good.

Not all dogs have fleas and I wouldn't use anything that wasn't absolutely necessary.
If more people got rid of the wall-to-wall carpeting and bathed their pets regularly, dogs and cats would have fewer flea problems.
If you have fleas, I would use the most basic product available instead of those mixed products used for treating everything. Some of those are really powerful and cause all kinds of reactions in sensitive dogs. I don't know what the longterm effects of that stuff is but I'm not sure anyone else does either.
I don't use any flea preventative and do not have any fleas so it can be done. Here is an article on flea preventatives. They prefer the Frontline type preventatives to the more toxic stuff but I'm not convinced.

Yes. I think it is the best flea product ever made. I used program in the past until Frontline came out. This is a wonderful product.

I've used it for 6 years and I've never seen a flea. However, if you live in an area with ticks you may still see one occasionally. We live in the country and even though Frontline is great on fleas I'm a little disappointed in how it takes care of ticks.

frontline is good only if you are using it as a preventative treatment. frontline plus is great to treat fleas, as it kills the eggs and larvae too. if you use frontline on a flea infested dog, the eggs will actual become immune to it. so if youre treating use the plus, if preventing use the top spot.

I have been using Frontline on my dogs for years. They never had flea problems. But there are other flea products available on the market. Some say that they are better than frontline. For more info on these products, check these out.

Personally, i have had lots of luck with frontline. All the fleas were gone. I used it when it first came out on my lab and all the fleas were gone. No more scratching.
