my roomates say i will go bald. That men are different from women and we will go bald. When I did have long hair I would comb it and some would come out in the comb..but I mean that is natural..right? My mom and sister comb their hair and the comb collects a lot of their hair.

I say false, it has to do with genetics
now every thing has two sides
if you have long hair that means that, that single hair has to have a long life and if it falls out then it will have a greater impact
because if it regrows it will not be as long as the other giving the illusiion that your going bald quicker
it's like stocks.. you have more invested in that one hair and if it goes bad then it will be more noticible

No - a male growing his hair long & wearing it in a ponytail does not cause him to grow bald more quickly.
Baldness is caused by genetics, some illnesses (ex. hypothyroidism) & by physically pulling out the hair.(traction alopecia*)
Be careful not to wear a tight ponytail - over time the hair can pulled out & not grow back. This is true for both men & women.

Myth i believe, i've been with my bf for 7 yrs and he's had a ponytail for much longer than that even and no balding on him so far.

false because since his hair is longer he has to take care of his hair. the reason why guys blad so fast is because they towel dry all the time. and towel drying makes the hair pull out and does something with the scalp. but if u grow it out long for guys they should blow dry and they wont go bald
