Those who know God will not need for you to quote the words of Jesus. Yes prayer is answered.

Yes, No or Wait sounds like a fair answer to me since obviously He is God and knows better than me. Can you imagine if the Lord actually say "yes" to all prayers prayed in faith? Even sicko and murderers prayed earnestly and in faith sometimes.
However, referring to those verses you mentioned, please read the verses before them and be aware that there is a prerequisite for your prayers to be answered/done the way you want it.
The prerequisite is that you are in fellowship with Him/abide in Him or that your will is in line with His will.
If they are, of course, it will be done. If it is not, you could pray all you want and the answer will be No or Wait. The great thing about it is that we could have the peace of mind knowing that our Lord loves us and that He knows a lot more than we do so we could easily trust whatever answer He gave is always going to be for the best.
We need to be careful of falling into the trap of looking at our Lord as a vending machine that gives whatever we want or like some sort of a servant that we could just tell what to do.
