Yes, athesits always look for logical answers. Being logical isn't a bad thing.

Just because many people believe something to be true, does not make it so. Many people believed in Zeus thousands of years ago. Does that make Zeus real? Or how about drinking soda and pop rocks would make you explode, or that black cats are evil, or that the number 13 is unlucky, or that having sex for the first time won't get you pregnant, or that crop circles are made by otherworldly beings, ect. All of these are widely believed, but they are also obviously not true.

Logic = yummy goodness.

Sorry, you are wrong in two ways:

1) I'm an atheist, and I like logical answers, but logic alone is empty: it must be backed up by evidence.

2) You're making a logical fallacy by appealing to popularity. Truth is not determined by popularity contests. At one time, most people believed the earth was flat, and that the sun revolved around the earth. That didn't make either of those things true.

it is riddled with logical fallacies. appropriate away you open with something that's not information in any respect, and you admit as plenty, yet then attempt to salvage it with a pretend assessment. Physicists did not arise with the higgs boson because of the fact they had some feeling or experience of it. They got here up with it because of the fact the mathematics of the known type demanded it. Now those arithmetic could be incorrect, however the actuality that that is shown to exist a minimum of in thought is a provisional reason to settle for that it exists. you are able to not evaluate that to a pair anecdotal "feeling". in the 2nd a million/2 of that paragraph you attempt to shift the burden of evidence, extremely pointing out which you're surprising until eventually shown otherwise. which could be perplexing thinking you're able to desire to to even define what it extremely is which you have confidence in. the 2nd paragraph is a great argument from lack of know-how. you have suggested that given which you do not understand those issues, or no rationalization yet exists, then it could be something previous the textile universe. yet enable's drop the flamboyant language right here what you assert is that it extremely is magic. If something isn't organic, then it extremely is SUPERnatural, and that's merely yet another observe for magic. you're merely taking issues that we don't yet totally understand like the human strategies, or quantum mechanics which I agree is a finished strategies bender, and plugging magic into it. Why does the wave functionality fall down whilst suggested? Magic. Why do people and different bigger animals exhibit creativity? Magic. fairly than merely admit which you don't be responsive to, or that no person knows, you purely anticipate magic. that's not information. that is not even a coherent thought. You self come across as a pantheist, yet your definition of what you have confidence in is so sick defined that it extremely is incomprehensible. " the divine is equivocal with the limitless" that doesn't mean something, and that is extremely an prolonged way from believing in a private god which could be theism. you're in actuality no extra suitable than a hair breadth from atheism.

Then we should all become agnostic until we can agree on just which God is the right one?

If enough people tell you that Santa is real does that make him real, millions of kids around the world - if not billions believe in Santa until they get older so doesn't logic tell us that he exists?

People believe what they want to believe or have lack of belief for the same reason. If God does exist what makes the one you believe in the right one?

Edit: Tony, if the atheists on here are all closed minded, "Christian Haters" and here to bait and incite, isn't it fair to say the same thing about the Christians on here, that there is a majority on here who are closed minded and won't enter a discussion without getting defensive, who are "atheist haters" and just bait and incite arguments with atheist to say they are the bad ones?
Me personally, I went to a Christian High School, I lived for 3 yrs in a Roman Catholic residence while at University where I was friends with the Catholic Father who lived there. I have friends who are Christian, I have been to Temple Square in SLC to learn about Mormons and have a greater understanding of their religion and I do that because I am comfortable in my beliefs but knowledge of other religions doesn't scare me - have you tried learning about anything outside of Christianity or is that too scary for you because you might like what you learn?

a huge and standard fallacy . everyone thought the earth was the center of the universe and the world was flat but that doesn't qualify it as true, now does it . the logical approach is what you should want to learn . logical answers require real evidence not majority votes. if five people our lost on a boat and four are cannibals should you be dinner? might doesn't make right as Nazi germany should exemplify and strength in numbers is sometimes ones downfall but the truth is true regardless of peer pressure or majorities that suffer from misleading information or propaganda.

The fact that most people believe in a deity doesn't mean that there actually IS a deity. It's pretty clear why more people are religious than nonreligious. Religion says that there's a definite meaning to life; atheism says that there's no specific purpose. Religion says that there's a being up above who loves every single one of us; atheism says there isn't. Religion says our existence will continue on after death; atheism says there's nothingness after death. Religion says we'll reunite with our loved ones in Heaven; atheism says we won't. Which do you think people are most likely to want to believe? The religious viewpoint or the nonreligious viewpoint?

The religious viewpoint sounds better. It offers comfort. And that attracts many people. But obviously that has nothing to do with whether or not it's actually true.

A vast majority once believed that the Earth was flat. They also believed that Earth was at the center of the Solar System and the Sun and other planets revolved around it. Some anachronistic beliefs and superstitions linger longer than others - especially when those beliefs are "convenient" to the believers.

The trouble with your assertion is that there are so many gods and even the people who claim to believe in the same god have different and conflicting versions of it
Years ago most people thought the world was flat so, according to your argument , they must have been right.

Almost everyone does not have a religious faith and in any case, faith has nothing to do with logic.

details are important. did you ever notice that there are hundreds or thousands of distinct religious faiths that are unable to agree on the nature or intentions of god? this situation is consistent with there being thousands of real gods, or one real god who is reluctant to reveal himself to everyone for some reason, or no real gods at all, every last one of them having been invented by humans as solutions to human problems such as death and the unknown. i find the last situation most parsimonious, although it is more to do with evidence than pure logic.
