Rabbit urine is very smelly. I use Marshall Bi-Odor for small animals in my rabbit's water and it has not smelled. It takes a week or so to start working. I recommend it for everyone with a rabbit. Also, you should put a litter box in the cage to keep the cage cleaner. I got my rabbit when he was a baby and as soon as I put a litter box in for him he automatically knew to use it even though he never had one before.

The actual rabbit, no. And it's true that if you keep them clean then you wont be able to smell them, but keeping a rabbit clean isnt like other small animals. Rabbits leave 200-300 "rabbit droppings" per day. In order to never smell them, you'd literally need to clean them at LEAST, 3 times a week (every other day if you have a sensitive nose). If you're thinking about getting one, I suggest you think long and hard about if you're ready to commit to cleaning a cage every other day for the next 5+ years.
On the bright side, Rabbits CAN be "litter trained". You can read up on how to litter train your rabbit and your cleaning time will literally be cut in half. You'd just need to scoop their litter box out every day (which wouldnt take longer than 10 minutes, max) and clean the entire cage once a week.

That would depend on the person, how clean they are kept and how often their vents are cleaned. The smell on the actual animal is normally from having dirty vents. Their vents are on each side of the genitals and can be easily cleaned with a baby wipe or a damp q tip. As for what they leave you stinking you can get special additives for their water at petsmart that helps with the smell. If you keep their cage clean ( I do every other day) and rins the pan with vinegar you shouldn't have too much of a problem.
But again you have to remeber that some people just think that rabbits stink.

All animals can smell if they arent taken care of properly. There are many things you can do to help keep down the smell, such as getting an odor absorbing bedding (such as carefresh). Also, you can sprinkle baking soda (arm and hammer is great) at the bottom of the cage, then cover it with news paper to help absorb, and cover that with the bedding, once again carefresh is the best for odor, but aspen and others work great as well. Then simply change the bedding at least once a week and spot clean daily.
Also, train your rabbit to use a litter box so you can clean that daily as well and rabbits will basicly have no smell at all. Its great.

There are many different opinions on this - its just like asking whether humans smell. In both cases, some do and some don't.
In order for a rabbit not to stink, it needs to be properly maintained, have fresh bedding, be fed a balanced diet, and be well groomed. If you let it miserably in its own droppings, and don't take care of health needs, yes it will start to stink. Not it, exaclty, but its cage and surroundings. The actual rabbit will only start to stink if he gets diarrhea stuck to its anal fur.
Most of the time, a properly kept rabbit will not stink. They usually smell like fresh hay, or whatever else you've been feeding the lil sweetie.

Like any animal, they can have a smell if left with a dirty cage etc. Or if you have a lot of rabbits you may get a 'barn' type smell. But overall, if you have pet rabbit and keep their cage clean you won't have a smell.
hope this helped!

I've owned rabbits for a long time, and I promise you, as long as you keep them clean they won't smell. I give mine a bath every once and a while (when it's warm out) so they stay cleaner and healthier (ex. maggots prefer dirty animals/animals with sores). The part about rabbits that does smell is what they leave behind for you to clean up. Although, their poop does work well for fertilizing flowers.
