Look a bit to the right
and focus on the side line til they pass (
and if you're a multi tasker,
flash em' at the same time,
chances are, they'll dim the lights
provided they were on high beam but,
that's not always the case,
some people just have bright lights
and others have them adjusted too flippin' high)
All the Best, Shad @)~>~

There are many schools of thought on this topic.... The safest thing for YOU to do is to REDUCE YOUR ROAD-SPEED!!! If you can't see, just take your foot off the accelerator and direct your line of sight towards the right shoulder line, as far ahead as you can comfortably and safely see. No need to brake or flash your lights, just let them continue on in the other direction.
As an important side note, if you find that you have trouble seeing at night routinely, please see an eye doctor as you may have an underlying medical condition.
I find that people who use aftermarket imitation "projection" headlights are harder to see past as they approach my vehicle. Whereas the real xenon projection lamps are not as hard to see past.... probably because they cost as much as the technology warrants and don't blind me... go figure.

Slow down and stop if necessary......do not look directly at the oncoming vehicle....look towards the kerb
Do not flash your lights as tha may cause the oncoming driver to be blinded aggravating the situation

Focus your attention to the white line on the right side of the road so you do not drive into the other car or go off the road. Use the line as a guide line.

If you can't see, pull over. Some of these answers are stupid. Why would some one drive blindly?
If you can still see, focus on the white line and flash your high beams at them. A lot of people forget that they're on.

Direct your attention to the shoulder line, to give you a reference to keep your car straight.

Now a days, people can get road rage easily......they (AAA) and some others say if you flash your lights on and off at them it should work. (As opposed to flashing you high beams).
