i was sent to the lab today to have a blood culture drawn. They took the 2 tubes out of one vein and told me to come back in 30 mins to have it taken out of another vein. I had an emergency come up within the family and didnt go back.
Will they still be able to run the test without the other set?

they still can run the test with one set. If it's negative, you're probably fine. If it's positive you'll probably have to repeat it to rule out accidental contamination.

Yes, but they may get a false positive or they may need to have the 2nd set to confirm the results of the 1st set. You can go to the lab now if it is open to have the 2nd set drawn.
