I'm sort of nervous about that...

I mean, does the stuff make you more talkative than normal? I don't want to say anything weird to my dentist...

I don't think so. Just think about it for a second...if you're having oral surgery (with your mouth wide open...) do you really think you'll even be able to talk. No. You'll be just fine.

From my own personal experience I did talk more to my oral surgeon but it was embarrassing. I had nitrous before having my wisdom teeth pulled out. I was too afraid to even breath the stuff b/c I was too scared but the only things I told the staff (IE: the nurses and not my dentist) were answers to their questions. They say to count backward from 10 then when you get to 8 or so... you're out. Just go into the procedure knowing that you are under the care of professionals.
I just remember the nurse asking me about my jewelry I had on and when I tried to explain that it was from my boyfriend the words coming out of my mouth made no sense at all. I did kind of feel embarrassed about that but then I realized that they were trying to calm me down.
Dr's. are professionals and I know that everyone wakes up from an anesthetic differently but I think we basically all forget what's going on so don't worry. It will all be fine :)

The N2O is not anything to worry about. I get it anytime i go to the dentist(i hate those guys) honestly it is one of the best fillings in the world. it feels like flotting and you may get a little dizy. however since you will be laying down it won't matter.
As far as divulging any secrets, don't worry. It doesn't make you 'out of it' or any thing. it just makes you more calm. you will be perfectly aware of everything going on.

Your dentist's hands will be in your mouth.

I recommend that you do not bring a pad and pencil to your surgery, you may just write something naughty.

Do you happen to know sign language?

I have had Nitrous and it makes you feel very drunk, like on alcohol, but with no hangover. So my answer is, what are you like when you are drunk? Why do you think they call it "laughing gas?"
