I've never heard of this idea until I saw it at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20464264/ and I think it's the craziest thing I've ever heard, especially the part at the end about the mother helping the little girl pee in the sink of a public restroom. Feedback! I wanna know what you think!

I thinl its crazy. my daughter is 6 mths old and the other day I was getting her out of the bath and had her on the couch playing for like 5 min and she peed all over me. She gave me no warning that she was gonna pee. I never minded getting up in the middle of the night to change my babys diaper or change the sheets. I think people are just getting lazier. The indians used to line there babys cradle boards with straw and stuff to keep there babys dry. The concept has been around forever that your supposed to keep something on your babys bottom.

I know plenty of grandmas who did this on farms. It's not a new thing. Most of the world does not use diapers. Typically called "infant elimination" in the US, many women learned of this method from women from India.

The only way you can really do it here is if you are a stay-at-home-mom or if your baby is cared for by a relative who is willing to participate. Saves on diapers and all the associated problems such as butt sores. Furthermore, babies potty train easily at much earlier ages because they don't have to be retaught the urge to 'go.'

And no, it doesn't completely eliminate the need for diapers. If baby gets diarrhea or being babysat by someone else, you pretty much have to use them.

I suppose when they're older they'll be peeing in the sink as well.

I think that insane but kinda funny.

When you get knock up and you decide you to keep the baby you are going to have to deal with diapers and anyone who think other ways is a Brittney Spears follower.
