I have my vehicle listed for sale online. I received several emails from several people, all of them from other countries. They ALL say the same thing. They state they are interested in my vehicle and that my asking price is just fine. All they want is my contact info, such as name and address so they can send a cashiers check. No bank information was asked for. They say they already have a shipper to pick up the vehicle when I have the cash in hand. Ive had about 8 offers from different countires all saying the same thing, just different wording. Anyone had the same issue?

well actually there is a huuuuuge market for exporting cars out of the US (mostly for new cars), expecially if your car is a mercedes or bmw. In your case it may be a scam though.. seems very similar to the response i got for my mattress i put on craigslist.. they had a check to mail to me and had a shipper that will come pick it up. i wonder why someone from texas wanted to buy my $100 mattress and ship it. Don't give out any info just in case!

thats THE most popular scam on the internet...

They'll send you a cashiers check which will be more maney than you asked for and then you'll cash it and return the excess money...but the checks are fradulent so the bank will come after YOU and you'll be paying it back... the scammer of course will be long gone...

Cashiers check? Hmm ... that's a new one.

Usually they want bank routing information so they can "wire the money".

Yeah, I'd be *HIGHLY* suspect. They're looking for banking information ...
